Branding and Identity

"Splitting his time between commercial endeavors as a creative director
and his collaborative work as the photographic team Cope/Arnold. Dustin views
image making as an extension of sculpture, often crafting an image’s content
conceptually, physically and digitally through pre and post production as a part of
his working practice"
“Batzner is an independent laboratory+perfuming house in Amsterdam[...]formulating high concept fragrances such as lucite, ceran wrap and plasti-sheen."
"I was apprached to develop a packaging system for their private clients which reflected their ideology regarding fragrance."
“The future of fragrance, the future of our world is synthetic. The scarcity of resources and collapse of the traditional artisan is inevitible. Rather than skirt the subject we embrace it, taking it upon ourselves to stretch the imagination and create new methods of production in the post-industrial age.” -Markos Haan
"In packaging this idea I eliminated all text, branding the ‘M’ in M-System as a simple graphic element and rendering packaging material in matte acrylic for a synthetic feel which also becomes an iconic POP display.”

This company uses several stock choices for the promotion of their clients brands including foiled stock and a basic card composite. The print process for each product is predominantly a web fed litho process, this will be due to the budget from the client and also based on the fact that these products will be thrown away after use. is

A simple card net is used to provide maximum exposure of the product on the front facing panel which will be shown on store shelves. This maximises the impact on the viewer in relation to similar products in the confectionary market. The stock used is not necessarily creative in quality, however it is low in cost and has an element of creativity of maximising shelf presence.

Having a die cut net for this piece of packaging allows for the actual procut to be housed with other promotional material and ads an element of appeal. The consumer feels like the product is behind a window wihcih can add to the desire of not being able to touch the product they can see. The window allows for the labelk to show though clearly

"The label is made with silk-screen printing in one color and it is done directly on the bottle. This choice, has been made not only by aesthetic issues but also by functional needs. Competitors usually use a paper label that becomes greasy during use. Otherwise the box is made of black cardboard , where the graphic is printed with hot foil, while the logo, manually applied, is made of real wood realized by laser cutting.”

One Trick Pony create a piece of self-promotion to be sent to clients which include a bottle of tequila within a wooden log. There are customised labels and shot glasses within which have been etched with a lazer cutter.  The title "YULE LOGIN" is reference to a website where existing clients are encouraged to send messages and interact with the design studio.

The use of a metal die to deboss using a black ink makes the front cover more aesthetically appealing and therefore captures the attention of the receiver.

The foiling on this piece adds to the impact of a four star promo for the Lodge. The element of goil foil can signify a five star experience without having the extra star rating.

"We created a related secondary typeface to give a hierarchy to information on the menus, which we made with rustic materials including kraft paper and cardboard to give diners an immediate impression of Morandi’s commitment to homemade cuisine."
